The Aurora Highlands neighborhood in Aurora witnessed the unveiling of a statue commemorating the extraordinary life of Dr. Justina Ford.
As the first licensed African American female doctor in Denver, Dr. Ford delivered approximately 7,000 babies during her illustrious career, many of whom still reside in Colorado.
Crafted by international artists Gillie and Marc, the statue is part of the Statues for Equality initiative, striving to erect more monuments honoring influential women globally.
