Alma Adams, a Democratic representative from North Carolina, has been serving in Congress since her first election in 2014. She is currently a member of the Agriculture and Education and Workforce committees and is gearing up for her next election in 2024.

During the 2023–2024 election cycle, Adams received significant backing from various industries, with Commercial Banks emerging as her top industry supporter, contributing a total of $43,775. Her largest single donor during this period is American Crystal Sugar, which provided $10,000 through Political Action Committees (PACs).

Adams’ campaign has demonstrated strong financial health, raising $656,922 and spending $582,290 as of her last report on October 16, 2024. She currently has $618,074 in cash on hand and no debts. Her leadership PAC, Capitol Heel PAC, has also played a key role in supporting her fundraising efforts.

The congresswoman’s campaign funding is heavily reliant on PAC contributions, which account for 71.16% of her total funds, amounting to $467,819. Large individual contributions make up 24.15% of her fundraising, while small individual donations of less than $200 constitute 4.68%. Notably, she has not engaged in self-financing her campaign.

Adams’ top contributors include organizations like the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, the American Federation of Teachers, and the Carpenters & Joiners Union, each donating $10,000 through PACs. Additionally, Blue Cross & Blue Shield Association also contributed $10,000, highlighting her support from the healthcare and labor sectors.

In terms of industry support, Public Sector Unions contributed $39,000, followed by Insurance at $38,925, and Building Trade Unions at $38,000. Industrial Unions added $30,500 to her campaign coffers, showcasing a diverse range of backers from unions and corporate sectors.
