Representative Lucy McBath (D-GA), a member of the Education and the Workforce and Judiciary committees, has established a robust financial base as she prepares for her 2024 election campaign. First elected in 2018, McBath has consistently garnered substantial financial support, reflecting her strong backing across industries and individual contributors.

During the 2023–2024 election cycle, McBath’s campaign committee raised an impressive $2,306,514, while expenditures amounted to $1,691,583. As of the last report on October 16, 2024, her campaign reported $1,349,235 cash on hand with no outstanding debts, underscoring her campaign’s financial stability.

One of McBath’s key financial supporters is Goldman Sachs, which has contributed $16,200, split between $14,200 from individual donors and $2,000 from its PAC. Other significant contributors include Delta Air Lines ($14,337), ARK Community Church (Massachusetts) ($13,200), Bain Capital ($13,200), and Perennial Properties (Georgia) ($13,200), all of which showcase a mix of corporate and community-based support.

McBath has also drawn significant funding from specific industries. The retired sector leads with $321,825 in contributions, entirely from individual donors. Other top industries include real estate ($147,567), securities and investment ($135,088), lawyers/law firms ($121,868), and leadership PACs ($86,242). These contributions reflect a broad base of support from professionals, organizations, and advocacy groups.

In terms of funding sources, large individual contributions dominate McBath’s campaign financing, making up 59.02% ($1,361,422) of the total raised. PAC contributions account for 26.09% ($601,955), while small individual contributions (< $200) contribute 14.89% ($343,547). Notably, McBath has not engaged in self-financing.

With her financial position bolstered by a diverse range of donors and industries, Lucy McBath appears well-prepared to mount a competitive reelection campaign in 2024. Her ability to secure funding from both grassroots supporters and larger entities highlights her appeal across a wide spectrum of contributors. Source: Open Secrets
