Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY) serves on the Energy and Commerce and Homeland Security Committees. First elected in 2006, she is seeking re-election in 2024. Her campaign financing and contributions reflect substantial backing from health professionals and large corporations.

For the 2023-2024 cycle, Clarke’s campaign has garnered significant financial support, particularly from the health sector, which contributed $75,422, making it her top industry donor. Her largest individual contributor is Dell Technologies, which provided $10,500. Her campaign’s overall fundraising efforts, including through her Milk River PAC, have raised $861,362 and spent $806,161, leaving her with $117,905 in cash on hand and $49,480 in debt, according to her most recent filing on October 16, 2024.

Clarke’s campaign received contributions from several notable groups and organizations. Key supporters include Dell Technologies with $10,500 (a combination of $3,000 from individuals and $7,500 from PACs), JStreetPAC with $10,400, the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees at $10,000, and both the American Hospital Association and Charter Communications, each contributing $10,000.

Beyond her primary industry of health professionals, her other top donor industries include lobbyists, who contributed $58,430, telecom services with $56,966, pharmaceuticals and health products at $42,500, and health services and HMOs at $40,250.

Examining the sources of her campaign funds reveals a strong reliance on PACs, which make up 71.27% of her total contributions, amounting to $619,523. Large individual contributions makeup 25.69%, or $223,331, while small individual contributions (under $200) account for 3.03%, totaling $26,335. Clarke’s campaign has not reported any self-financing, and other sources have contributed a net negative of -$7,827. Source: Open Secrets
