DORAL — The 30th annual Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Umbrella Awards and Recognition Luncheon, hosted by the Metropolitan Dade County chapter of the National Council of Negro Women Inc. (NCNW), paid tribute to five Black women in law enforcement.
The event, held on April 28 at the InterContinental Hotel in Doral, brought together esteemed individuals from diverse fields to honor their remarkable contributions to society, as outlined in the event’s description. Among the honorees were Director Stephanie V. Daniels of the MDPD, Chief Delma Noelle-Pratt of the MGPD, Director Sherea Green of the MDCR, Chief Cherise Giordani Gause of the NMPD, and Chief Harvette Smith of the NMBPD.
